British alternative duo Getdown Services embrace absurd humour, restless energy and unconventional songwriting on Dog Dribble, a chaotic post-punk and electronic track that turns everyday frustrations into an unusual musical statement.
Dog Dribble combines distorted electronic textures, punchy basslines, twitchy percussion and spoken-word-style vocals. Its lyrics move through random observations, food references, personal struggles and moments of confusion, creating a deliberately unpredictable style. The repeated chorus gives the track a memorable hook despite its unconventional storytelling.
The track was released as part of Getdown Services’ 2024 project, Your Medal’s In The Post, which arrived on 14 November through Breakfast Records. The duo consists of Joshua Law and Benjamin Sadler, who also share the songwriting credits.
One of its most distinctive qualities is the contrast between its energetic musical backing and the seemingly random direction of its lyrics. Rather than following a conventional pop structure, the duo build the track around unusual phrases, repeated chants and humorous observations that keep changing direction.
For listeners who enjoy experimental alternative music, post-punk, electronic sounds and unconventional British humour, this recording offers something outside the usual songwriting formula. Its unpredictable character is a major part of its appeal.
