South African Amapiano producers Xduppy, Benzoo and Al Xapo join forces with Mid9T on Hungry, a collaboration that brings together several names associated with the country’s evolving dance music scene.
The title suggests ambition, determination and the desire to achieve more. It creates room for a message about staying driven, pursuing opportunities and refusing to become comfortable with limited progress. Hungry gives the collaboration a direct theme that listeners can interpret through their own experiences.
Xduppy, Benzoo and Al Xapo are established contributors to the contemporary South African Amapiano scene, with releases connected to LVRN Records and collaborations across the genre. Their previous work includes projects such as “Intro” with TXC, W4DE and Djy Zan SA.
The combination of these producers creates an interesting meeting of creative styles, while Mid9T adds another name to the lineup. The title’s focus on ambition also fits naturally into the competitive spirit of a music scene where artists continually look for new ways to expand their sound and reach more listeners.
