Ghanaian rapper Oseikrom Sikanii joins forces with fellow rap heavyweight Medikal on KPO, bringing together two distinctive voices from Ghana’s hip-hop scene. The collaboration puts the focus on their individual rap personalities and shared connection to the country’s street music culture.
The pairing creates an interesting opportunity for contrasting lyrical approaches, with Oseikrom Sikanii bringing his Kumasi-rooted identity and Medikal contributing his established rap style. Both artists are known for their confident delivery and use of Ghanaian street expressions, making their collaboration a natural meeting of musical personalities. The record’s appeal rests on the chemistry between the two performers and the energy they bring to the same release.
Oseikrom Sikanii has previously collaborated with Medikal on Sika Duro, a hip-hop single released on January 6, 2021, under Oseikrom Sikanii Music. Their renewed pairing highlights an existing musical connection between the two Ghanaian rappers.
One notable aspect of this collaboration is the return of Medikal alongside an artist he has worked with before. That familiarity gives the pairing an interesting background, particularly for listeners who have followed their earlier musical connection.
Listeners who enjoy Ghanaian hip-hop, street rap and collaborations built around confident lyrical performances will find this release worth exploring. It also brings attention to the continuing relationship between Kumasi’s rap scene and the wider Ghanaian hip-hop movement.
