DJ TYRONE puts a fresh spin on the popular South African Gwijo chant with Bambulele uNomathemba, a football-inspired release built around collective singing, crowd participation and the spirit of supporting a team.
The track draws from the Gwijo tradition, where repeated vocal chants bring people together through music. Its arrangement is associated with a slow Afro-pop foundation, group-style vocals and banjo touches that give the recording a distinctive folk character.
The original recording is credited to Bushida Coffee featuring Gwijo Gang and was released on 29 September 2026. DJ TYRONE’s version appears online as a Gwijo Song remix, although its separate production credits are not clearly documented.
What makes this chant stand out is its communal spirit. The repeated vocal approach gives listeners room to join in, creating the atmosphere of a crowd singing together at a football match.
Listeners who enjoy South African Gwijo music, football chants and group-vocal recordings may want to check out this version. It carries a strong sense of togetherness that makes it suitable for match-day gatherings and shared celebrations.
