Romanian dance group Akcent gets a fresh club treatment with That’s My Name (DJ Vegas Remix), bringing renewed attention to one of the group’s recognisable pop-dance titles.
Originally known for its catchy dance-pop identity, the track carries a playful theme built around attraction, confidence and making a memorable impression. That’s My Name (DJ Vegas Remix) gives DJs and dance music listeners another version to explore, with the remix format placing the focus on its potential for club and radio rotation.
The original recording appeared on Akcent’s album Fără Lacrimi, released in 2009. The DJ Vegas remix has also appeared in radio playlists, although detailed production credits and an official release date for this particular remix were not independently confirmed.
One interesting part of revisiting an established dance track through a remix is the opportunity to introduce its familiar identity to a different listening setting. DJ Vegas’s version gives the title another place within contemporary DJ playlists, keeping Akcent’s original song in circulation.
Listeners who enjoy European dance-pop, club remixes and familiar hits reworked for DJ sets will find this version worth checking out. It connects the appeal of an established Akcent track with the continuing demand for fresh dance-floor interpretations.
