Romanian producer and vocalist DJ Goja brings a playful romantic theme to MI CHICO, a dance release that pairs a Spanish title with an Afrobeats-influenced musical direction.
The phrase “Mi Chico” translates from Spanish as “my boy” or “my guy”. The lyrics use simple, repetitive lines about attraction, dancing and enjoying the moment, giving the track an easy-to-follow chorus. Its bright dance-pop character draws on Afro house and Afrobeats influences.
Released on 27 March 2026 through gamma., the original single runs for one minute and 57 seconds. DJ Goja, whose full name is Ovidiu Marius Goja, is credited as vocalist, composer and producer.
One interesting detail is the choice to build the chorus around a short Spanish expression. It gives the song a memorable identity while keeping the main message direct, making the words easy to pick up even for listeners unfamiliar with Spanish.
Listeners who enjoy upbeat dance music with catchy vocal phrases and international influences may find this release appealing. Its short runtime and straightforward romantic theme make it suitable for dance playlists and lively social settings.
